About Us

Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek Sisterhood is a multigenerational group of women, committed to supporting the synagogue and its youth programs, Jewish learning, participation in social action initiatives, and developing friendships by just having a good time. Our membership is made up of dynamic women of all ages, joining together to strengthen our Temple family.

Our Sisterhood calendar is filled with diverse activities, many of them open to all, and has included cooking demonstrations, history and culture, crafts, women’s health and finance, exercise and more. In the past, events were held in person. Since the Covid-19 Pandemic, events are held through Zoom.

Our Sisterhood offers both free programs and fund-raising events. Annual events have included the Book and Author Luncheon and the Fashion Show. Jewish learning is an important component of Sisterhood, and is demonstrated in our annual Sisterhood Shabbat, when members lead and participate in services, as well as our Womens Seder. Our Women's Study Group with Dr. Sandra Lilienthal has become an annual tradition.

Our group is only as good as its members, and we hope that you will join our ranks and get involved. Sisterhood Board meetings are held August through June on the third Thursday at 7pm. They are open to any Sisterhood members wanting to participate in the planning and leadership process.
